A strategic partnership between Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) and the French tech company Urbanloop has been established to explore sustainable and innovative urban mobility solutions in the UAE. ADT, known for its leadership in port operations and logistics within Abu Dhabi, is looking to leverage Urbanloop's cutting-edge technology to offer low-carbon, efficient transport alternatives. Urbanloop has developed an autonomous rapid transit system, which is designed to operate with minimal energy consumption. The system, a compact and light vehicle running on rails, consumes just 1.3 grams of CO2 per passenger per kilometer, making it one of the most energy-efficient transport solutions available globally.

The Urbanloop project, which initially gained recognition in France, holds significant promise for reducing traffic congestion and emissions in densely populated cities like Abu Dhabi.
